Las Bambas copper mine is located in Peru, South America, belongs to China Minmetals, and is one of the world's ten largest copper mines. The size of the ball mill is 7.925 meters in diameter and 12.344 meters in length. The whole ball mill adopts steel rubber composite liner design, double peak composite liner, and uses a special wear-resistant block + wear-resistant rubber composite scheme to improve the processing capacity and increase the service life.
In July of 2024, Las Bambas achieved a large-scale relining work and installed our second set of hybrid liners. Our enginners from China and Peru went to the mine site and guided the installation. Meanwhile, we carried our Faro scanner to accumulate data for the future liner-using analysis.
